Если вы находитесь в США или в другой стране, где хорошо функционирует Красный крест, тогда пройдите экзамен в Красном кресте по Стандартной первой помощи и получите зачетный сертификат. (20 часов обучения)
ИЛИ
В странах Британского содружества пройдите экзамена в госпитале Св. Иоанна и получите зачетный сертификат по Стандартной первой помощи.
ИЛИ выполните следующие требования:
- Know the basic principles for mouth-to-mouth breathing and the treatment for an obstructed airway.
- What is the difference between a heart attack and a stroke and the treatment for each?
- Know the proper procedure for assisting a bleeding victim.
- Know the pressure points and how to correctly apply pressure at these points.
- Know the proper method of applying a tourniquet and when to apply one.
- Know the causes of shock and demonstrate its proper treatment.
- Know the proper procedure for assisting a victim of poisoning.
- Know the proper procedure for assisting a burn victim.
- Know how to properly apply the following bandages:
- Open and closed spiral
- Figure-eight
- Fingertip
- Cravat bandage to the head
- Know how to apply the following splints:
- Upper arm splint
- Forearm splint
- Ankle splint
- Kneecap splint
- Know the proper treatment for the following:
- Head injuries
- Internal injuries
- Gunshot wounds
- Injuries to the eye
- Animal and insect bites
- Fainting and epilepsy
- Effects of heat and cold
- Know what to do in an electrical emergency.
- Know how to escape from a fire.
- Know how to obtain help in an emergency.
- Know the proper procedure to assist a radiation-exposure victim.
- Know the following rescue carries:
- Drag by shoulder
- Blanket drag
- Two-person carry
- Carry by extremities
- Improvised litter
- Three-person hammock carry
- Litter carry
